Exporting Camera Data

The Export button on the Cameras page lets you download camera information in different formats, or capture current snapshots from all your cameras.

CSV Export

Exports camera details as a CSV (Comma-Separated Values) file, compatible with spreadsheet applications like Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

Includes: Camera names, IP addresses, settings, status, and configuration details.

Use cases:

• Documentation and inventory management
• Sharing camera lists with colleagues
• Backup of camera configurations

Excel Export

Exports camera details as an Excel (.xls) file with formatting.

Includes: Same information as CSV, formatted for Excel.

With Passwords Option

By default, camera passwords are not included in CSV/Excel exports for security reasons. The password column will show [FILTERED].

To include actual passwords in your export:

1. Click Export
2. Tick the With passwords checkbox
3. Select CSV or Excel

Camera Snapshots

Downloads a current snapshot image from each online camera and packages them into a ZIP file.

How it works:

1. Click Export then Camera Snapshots
2. Enter your password to confirm your identity
3. Click Process Snapshots
4. You'll receive an email with a download link when processing is complete

What you get: A ZIP file containing one JPEG image per camera, named by camera and captured at the time of processing.

Requirements:

• Cameras must be online and recording
• Your TetherBox must be connected
• At least one camera on the TetherBox must have a paid cloud subscription - snapshots are fetched via the cloud infrastructure
• Filters apply (only cameras matching your current filter will be included)

Use cases:

• Quick visual audit of all camera views
• Documentation for installation handovers
• Verifying camera positioning and coverage
